INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS

Instagram is ranked as the most used social media platform amongst our respondents. This helps us to understand the importance of online presence for UOB and how to better utilize it to help UOB garner more awareness. They can do so by utilising the functions of Instagram like IG stories, IG post, IG reels, etc.

The color scheme for each bank is clear, distinct, and matches the main colors of the bank. This helps with brand recognition and it is a bonus if it looks aesthetically pleasing. 

TELEGRAM FOLLOWERS

UOB does not have its own specific telegram channel which poses a disadvantage since telegram is ranked third as the most often used social media platform amongst respondents. Telegram offers a wide range of functions like hosting an unlimited number of people in a telegram channel, the ability to schedule messages to be sent in the channel, etc.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR UOB?

Digital presence is paramount in staying relevant and competitive, as social media has a huge impact in current youth’s lifestyle. Not leveraging on it will result to difficulty in connecting with youths and other age classes.
